To give children who could not otherwise afford it the chance of a Dragon School education
Fundraising remains on-going for the endowment of The Nicholas Knatchbull Memorial Bursaries.
Nicholas Knatchbull left the Dragon in July 1978. 13 months later he was killed alongside his grandfather, Lord Mountbatten, when a bomb exploded on their fishing boat off Mullaghmore, County Sligo, in Ireland.
Nicholas and his identical twin, Timothy, were two of five brothers who attended the Dragon School between 1956 and 1978.
